The number of landscape architecture theory books published over the past few years1 suggests an increasingly complex level of self-reflection within the profession. Three edited volumes in particular – The New Landscape Declaration, Thinking the Contemporary Landscape and Values in Landscape Architecture
– debate and define the value of landscape architecture as a profession and discipline.
