I was born in Darlinghurst Sydney on Gadigal Country of the Eora Nation. I have Scottish, Irish and English ancestry but grew up close to Jerry’s Plains in the upper Hunter Valley in eastern New South Wales on unceded lands of the Geawegal people. My mother was born on Ngarigu Country in the Monaro region of south eastern NSW and my father was born in Sydney on Gadigal Country. I have spent most of my career working in Meanjin Brisbane, home of the Turrbal people and now I live in Ōtautahi Christchurch, in Te Waipounamu South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand, home of the Kāi Tahu people. I teach at Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki Lincoln University. Tēnā koutou katoa!

I was born in London and am a British citizen with paternal and maternal family ties to north London and the county of Norfolk on the east coast of England. I am married to an Australian from Meanjin Brisbane, in the state of Queensland, on Jagera and Turrbal Country, which is where I now work.  LatStudios also has an office in Naarm Melbourne on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country. I live and raise my family in the foothills of the D’Aguilar range in the beautiful Moreton Bay region, the traditional home of the Kabi Kabi, Jinibara and Turrbal people.
